Oh, believe me my friend, I've more than thought about it! I'm actually thinking of putting an addition on the side where I can keep the rabbits, as well as grow some hardy plants.

Temps are going up today, and will remain a bit more average for at least the next week. I just wish it were Spring already...

I bought a couple of shower curtains at the river, paid less than 30$ and covered the screens on my patio with those. That raised the temperature on the patio by 3°C! It was just a test this year, for the next winter i am planning to build frames with a double layer of greenhouse skin that i can just pop and re-use the next year. And i will insulate the lower half of the walls with OSB/Styrofoam/OSB, add some carpet on the floor and i should have a sunroom/greenhouse…
Which also should help lower the heating bill of the house a bit…

Making progress with the veggie garden, four out of six tomato beds are done:

Now i have the problem, that i run out of fully composted compost… I may have to mex the partially composted stuff from the duck-run with some loam and use that for the remaining two beds.

Yes, that's similar to the plans I have. You just have more determination than me. I don't know how you do it!

Maybe foot and half. Long enough to reach over and bite me when I wasn't paying attention. This is Sam the long-necked gander[Embden] who loved to bite. He could stretch that neck longer too, he is relaxed in the picture.
