Do they have a sixth sense. So I couldn't get Elizabeth upright this morning after 4 tries. So I propped her against the side of the coop, went for lunch( cause what I was gonna do was a post lunch thing). I took Mr. 22 to introduce her to the rainbow bridge and you guessed it, she was up running around with her eggmates. Like she knew. One day reprieve. Just to see.

Yes, that's similar to the plans I have. You just have more determination than me. I don't know how you do it!

Here is what i did, i ordered two packs of these shower-curtains (just $26). When those arrived, i grabbed a packet of nails, some scrap-wood and a hammer and did this:

I used the rings in the curtains to hang them up with nails and then fixed them into position by nailing the scrap-wood pieces over the sides and the bottom. So far this is holding up nicely, even in stormy weather. - I totally expected the plastic to be torn into pieces by winter-storm Elliott, but it just held up.
Now i had the advantage that i could work on an already existing structure, but the magic words to counter the crazy high lumber prices are »landscape timber« and »furring strips«. Apart from pallets or your own sawmill, its the only affordable wood you can find at the moment.
I just finished 1-2 sections on one day, it took me about two weeks to finish the whole patio, but if you do a little bit every day, the job get's done too…

I couldn't do that after lunch… Or it would have to be a lunch that's yummy in both directions…
