I'm with you being in the next state from you. My power company called me last night to warn me that since my Son has a sleep apnea machine to get back up power because the storm coming may make me lose my power. We are going into a brutal cold too with snow and a lot of wind. Your ducks should come off of that pond or they will get stuck to it. Hopefully they will be smart enough to come back to the person that let them in the house and took such good care of them. We're expecting that mess staring on Sunday…
Might be the one and only chance to get the ducks off the pond. - Literally off and not out!
I have seen the video before where they use the ducks to clean the rice fields after they are done harvesting but I never knew how they got them out of the trucks. That was a rough way to do it but they all looked fine afterwards.Meanwhile in a different universe...

The Storm has arrived here in Big Chimney and i am glad that our house is located on a North-West slope and therefore somewhat protected from the wind:Winter storm warning overnight Friday to Saturday. Snowfall of up to 25 cm (close to a foot), heavy at times, with winds up to 70 kmh (about 44 mph). I hope it bypasses us.
I hope you have a backup-power supply for your son's CPAP machine.I'm with you being in the next state from you. We have done good so far, still windy but no outages near us. We are Blessed for sure. It was cold taking care of the ducks but they don't seem to mind the cold as much as I do, lol. It's those down jackets they have on that I don't. lolI hope you have a backup-power supply for your son's CPAP machine.
Here, the winds have picked up and we had already some loud buzzers where the branches hit the overhead lines. So far no outage…
NOw that is snow!Got pathways to the ducks, chickens, and rabbit done. Enclosures mostly shovelled out. Too almost two hours.
My car is buried, and the snowbank at the end of the driveway makes me want to cry. I can't do this...
