Got pathways to the ducks, chickens, and rabbit done. Enclosures mostly shovelled out. Too almost two hours.

My car is buried, and the snowbank at the end of the driveway makes me want to cry. I can't do this...

So sorry you are having to deal with all of that snow. I don't envy you a bit. I feel for you as that is some heavy stuff. Hopefully a friend or neighbor can help you get out when you need to.

We have done good so far, still windy but no outages near us. We are Blessed for sure. It was cold taking care of the ducks but they don't seem to mind the cold as much as I do, lol. It's those down jackets they have on that I don't. lol

The dux are still insisting to stay on their pond, despite the crazy wind we had overnight. Once the wind here shifted to the west it really picked up speed. Had the pond been frozen over last night the surface would have been sloped…
So far no power outage, but no landline, cable-TV and internet - a couple of telephone-line poles snapped clean off. We got new poles for the power-lines this summer, because the grid was upgraded from one to three phases, so no power outage.
Now the wind has died down and the temperatures are dropping fast, already at the freezing mark. The dux had a warm soup this evening and even though some of the runners looked wistfully at the dux-house before hesitatingly waddling uphill back to the pond. They will crack, latest after Sunday when the day-time temperatures stay below freezing...

Power flickered a few times, so it turned off my heaters. Thank goodness for the propane furnace.

I should really shut up! - But can i borrow that for just a day?
The dux would hate that white fungus and would retreat into their palace immediately. - I guess...

The storm looked bad on the radar, but its even worse on the ground.

Coco was bathing in it!!! Then again, they haven't had access to more than a small shallow tub of water for a while since I can't use the hose and I'm not filling a kiddy pool with buckets.

All the Muscovy were smart and got out of the wind and went inside the coop. The 'regular' ducks were all outside and had to be herded in.

I gather you leave the door open to their palace?

Power went out for about five hours. From around 8:30ish pm to 1:30 am. So thankful for the propane furnace.

It was really boring though without my computer. Tried to sleep, but wasn't able to. As a matter of fact, I still haven't slept. Time to go try it, again, and hope my brain stops wandering. Wish there was an off switch for it!

I am with you on that. My brain does the same thing. When I want it to work it wants to sleep and when I want to sleep it wants to work, I guess I should not complain, at least it still knows how to work, lol.
