That's great! We're also waiting for our single almost-5-months lady to maybe start.... And then the 6 other young ones during October. Fingers crossed. Weather is so strange this year, I bet that is also a factor.

Less daylight will be the culprit. Although many young ones that start laying soon will probably lay all through winter. They did here anyway.

Mine never lay in the winter, even that year's young ones. I never expect eggs from them until the following Spring.

My Runners started laying at 4 and a half months and laid straight for 18 months I was getting worried. lol

They are more concerned with retaining their body heat during the brutal Canadian winter than popping out eggs that would freeze instantaneously anyways.
