I am so glad for your thread and stories they really start the day off. Love all the pics too. So cute peaking over the top of the brooder. I had 2 new Runners hatch on Tuesday can you believe yours were this tiny when they arrived? They grow so fast.

They're so adorable. I had read about the fast growth, but seeing it is totally different.

I enjoy sharing my life with you folks. I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve, and at times, it makes me vulnerable. One thing I've learned from it though is being honest, truly honest, with strangers keeps me honest with myself.

When I went through my series of surgeries, it changed most aspects of me. I was on a private forum at the time, and my support group from there was a good 300+ people. I'd get phone calls in my room from members I had never even talked with.

I had a lot of complications, and nobody could tell me why. My first surgeon though, he is a wonderful person. He'd come and visit me every day, including his days off. He'd make a 2 hour round trip just to sit with me for 20 minutes. It's easy to blame a doctor, but I really feel in my heart he did his best. He's only human after all. I'm getting a bit misty eyed just thinking about it. It's okay though. I'm alive! More than once, it didn't look like it would end that way.

When your in such a grim place for so long, trying to see the beauty in life, although difficult, is a great driving force.

If going through what I did go through has made me a batter person. Then I would go every frightening second of it all over again.

Anyways, thanks for listening. Im going to go blow my nose and play with some birds.
