Yes brooding sure makes them more social my Runners that were hatched an raised by my Muscovy’s are nothing like these I can get a few to eat out of my hand but these little ones love to nibble on me and like to be around me. Now they don’t want me to pick them up but that’s okay being able to rub a bill and have them nibble on me is awesome enough. Even these two little ones that just hatched 2 days ago love to be cuddle and held isn’t it just precious?
I can only get Terry to eat from my hand regarding the Ancona's, but something magical seemed to happed putting the babies with the older ducklings (separated, but in sight). I was leaning over the brooder, both hands hanging in it, and just about every Ancona came up and nibbeled on my fingers, and only 1 seemed to not want anything to do with it. It was pretty neat.

Now the Runners, everyone comes to me, and only gets spooked if I move to fast. My wife and I both had one fall asleep nuzzeled in our necks. Another I noticed is when we only remove 1 from the brooder, none of them freak out. I have to take the Ancona's in pairs or they just start chirping like it's chopping block time.

Side note, I think it's time to rehome the barnyard cockerels. :(
Sadly they do not fit in to any of my plans, and the hen is constantly chasing one or the other... :(

In your experience, does this look like something is wrong? It does to me, but when the chick has its wings tucked, it looks perfectly fine. It's one the hen keeps chasing.
