Are ducks not big jerks when it comes to adding new flock members? The quack shack is only 4x8, so not a lot of room to separate two broods (plus only one pop door to the outside.)
Yes they are easy to integrate, very. When i got my ducks from Cackle there was a problem with hatching and I had to get a spilt shipment. My Runners are actually a few weeks younger than the Ancona. They integrated just fine.

My photography skills don't do this girl justice, but she is completely beatle green 😍 even my blue hen has abit of beetle sheen to her.

I got the new bantam Cochin cockerel, though I do think he's older than 6 months. He's got decent sized spurs already. Regardless of his age, he seems to be everything he was described as. I'm thinking of naming him Sir Frizz A'lot, or just Dunbar (a play on the security company/flock protector/genetics). His Dun coloration is rather dark in some spots, but he is indeed "chocolate."

Now y'all know I can't just quarantine a single bird. That's just not very nice, yeah, that's it. I'm being nice... I also got Fuggz, named that because Fugly is just too mean. ;)
This poor boy is clearly the results of a project. His skin is white, has red waddles/comb/ear lobes, waddles are to big, and his 4/5th toes are fused together. His feathers are a bit coarse too, not fluffy like Flip n Flop are. He is however friends with the above fella and can be a companion for now. This guy is ti big to use for my interests, and will be rehomed in a couple of months.

Both of them seem to have been had raised and handled. I can just reach right in ans pick either of them up. Very well behaved so far.

:love

I love his color, too. Should throw some fun babies :)

I got something in the mail today- Call duck eggs! From my friend that I got into Calls, lol. Now she keeps a lot of project colors, and she saved up some eggs to send me. These guys should be fun. Lots of colors involving chocolate, and pied, and one egg even has the potential to be silkied, if it hatches.

Specific colors that hatch could include pencilled (which is really emery pencilled, but for whatever reason they just call it pencilled in Calls), Nutmeg, Pied Nutmeg, Ancona, Chocolate Ancona, Gray, and Appleyard. Probably some other possibilities too but I'm a bit tired to do all the genetics in my head right now, haha.

:frow You too. Yes, too close for comfort. It jumped over us. Did damage both east and west of us, the worst was just up the road east of us. EF4 did a lot of damage.
Goodness gracious, that is too close for comfort! Been following a lot of it on the news. There are several groups and churches collecting supplies and money to come help out this weekend. So happy you and yours are safe though!!
