Now that I'm slightly more awake (I had a nap) I'm digging into the genetics of the duckling colors I can expect.

Some pens are easy, since they're just one color together. Those include gray, appleyard, snowy, and pencilled.

Then we've got a fun pen which is a gray pied drake split to nutmeg over a nutmeg pied hen. Expecting gray pied and nutmeg pied from those. And a pen that is a nutmeg pied drake over a nutmeg pied hen and an ancona hen. Here I'm looking at nutmeg pied babies, gray pied babies, ancona babies, and chocolate ancona babies. All chocolate ancona babies would be female and all black ancona would be male.

I got something in the mail today- Call duck eggs! From my friend that I got into Calls, lol. Now she keeps a lot of project colors, and she saved up some eggs to send me. These guys should be fun. Lots of colors involving chocolate, and pied, and one egg even has the potential to be silkied, if it hatches.

Specific colors that hatch could include pencilled (which is really emery pencilled, but for whatever reason they just call it pencilled in Calls), Nutmeg, Pied Nutmeg, Ancona, Chocolate Ancona, Gray, and Appleyard. Probably some other possibilities too but I'm a bit tired to do all the genetics in my head right now, haha.
So do calls pretty much come in any color/patern? I think tiny Appleyards and Chocolate Anconas would be pretty neat.
