Sometimes :) Often I just save them and then send them on to another home, since, I hate to say it, hatchery chicks just don't really do it for me anymore.

But bantams are often the exception. If these little ones are hens, likely I'll keep them and give them to a ko shamo cock. That would make for some interesting crosses!

It's funny because we were just talking about Sultans the other day and how I liked them and now I have two again. Not great stock, but still. Haha.
You know, hatchery ducks don't bother me, but for some reason chickens do. Maybe it because my ducks are just pets. I bet if I had sop breed Runners, I'd think differently.

Chickens though, they got me by the wallet stitching. Trying to explain to my wife why a single chicken is worth $75 is like teaching calculus.

That is pretty funny. I'm taking a small road trip to see a breeder this weekend @cra8ychix and her husband. We are going to look at a Houdan flock... I'm not supposed to be getting birds right now... I've still got ~ 28 eggs incubating... But, they have Sultans too. Don't be suprised if I come home with a pair too.

Hey, if they're nice get me some eggs :p I've been after nice Sultans for a long time. They're just so rare I haven't found any.

Its one day of pollen.
I vividly remember when Wifie parked the car outside under our pine tree.
There should have been a red car outside, next morning, but it was in fact orange.
She used the windscreen washer, resulting in a thick yellow paste blocking the wipers.
And that happens always on that morning when you overslept and have an urgent appointment…
And dressed in something black…
