The Quack Shack

Anyone that wants my beaver can have them!!!

They are protected as long as they aren’t doing damage. Mine do much damage, and I don’t mean just to the trees.

They flood the road making it impassible. They block the stream and flood the pond right up to my doorstep.

We do not have a shortage of them here. We have too many. There is a trapping season on them but very few trap them, even though they are a completely renewable source of warm clothing. The PETA and anti-fur groups have made the market for their pelts near nil dropping the prices down to next to nothing.

Without some controls on them they end up suffering terrible deaths do to starvation and being driven out of their Ponds by their parents. There are more beaver than their is decent habitats for them.

Sounds like Nutria. Beaver are fairly rare here and they damed my creek at the property line and gave me water in a big drought year.:clap:plbb

We have no nutria up here, we do have muskrats, mink, weasels, fisher, martins, and a myriad of other furbearing water dwelling critters.

Nutria are pretty disgusting. Good for fur but taste terrible and are very invasive. Think 20 lb water rat. I bought my dog nutria jerky to try being green :sick it smelled worse than bully sticks. Never again.
Beaver are 60lbs of rat.

Speaking of dux... time for a duck pic
