Personally, I hope your cold front stays there until February 28th. With it sitting there all this nice warm air is trapped up here. I assume we have about the same weather.

Lows of around 18 degrees and highs in the high 30s or low 40s. We have bright sunny days and star filled nights.

This weather is not good for deer hunting (the full moon isn’t helping either). The temps are killing ice fishing completely, as we have no ice and my boat is out away for the winter.

But as far as getting stuff done outside and being easy on the old joints, this is great.

It should warm all ya’llS little hearts to know your suffering is bringing me comfort and warmth.

I am about to leave my deer stand, my stand is more an evening one that day one, and get some work done.

I had a flock of swans go over this morning again. All I can think when I see them is they sure are pretty dux, but they sound terrible. Followed by I wonder if I can hit them on the fly from here and what do they taste like.

Wunda Just so you know, killing a swan is about on par with shooting the President. There is no season and I think they each have their own warden as protection.

The only thing worse would be shooting a grey ( timber) wolf or a moose.
I'm not sure there's anywhere in the world it's safe to kill swans. The Moose and timber qolf suprises me thiugh. Don't people eat Moose?

Yes, moose is delicious.

In Minnesota now you have to apply for a license through a lottery.

We use to be able to get one every other year. Now it’s once in a lifetime.

Because of Brain Worm the moose numbers are way down. The worm lives in the gut of deer during part of their cycle. Another part is in the brain of a moose.

Deer were not in moose area 40 years ago. But because some genius, 45 years ago, in St Paul decided we need more deer and shouldn’t kill as many as we do.

So they closed deer season for a few years. Their numbers got so high they invaded the moose area. So the moose died off.

In addition, we have a deer problem, too many deer. Lots of deer/car accidents. I need an 7 ft electric fence around my garden, or the deer mow it down.

Also there are less hunters every year. The more the state turns metropolitan the less hunters we have.

but, the deer still refuses to walk out during daylight hours so I can shoot it.

When you said brain worm I thought you were going to referr to anti hunting activists

Nope. This is an actual parasite. The other things leading to their decline were anti hunting activists.

We have a high percentage of people in the state that are anti-hunting, anti-fishing and anti eating or wearing anything that comes from an animal.

Oh and anti-gun, they are all very vocal also.

I am a dinosaur, cause I like eating meat, fish, dairy, hunting, fishing and my guns.

Pictures?
Had to wait until after work. So darn cute!
