Katharina Duck (rip) would definitely be mad with me! She used to walk behind me like a dog whenever she saw me carrying a spade, a shovel or the muck-fork. She knew there will be worms, all the other ducks haven't gotten the message…The ducks would be upset with you if you did.
If the ducks were brave enough to come close to that ol' man and the wheelbarrow and the digging tool… They still think everything wants to eat them! There won’t be any left left to sell once the ducks find them
During the frequent breaks i had to take yesterday, i was able to shoot a short video of that strange looking mallard:
Anybody has an idea what s(he) is? Duck or Drake? Maybe @Pyxis ?
I've never seen a Mallard go through molt into Nuptial plumage I thought for sure one of Hillbillys drakes might have fathered this one.Does it quack yet? It looks like a young male that might be starting to molt into nuptial plumage and is like halfway there, lol.
As all of the Mallards, this one is very, very, very quiet. They do their "qrack" when taking off and during flights, they peep to coax me to go to the cracked-corn barrel and occasionally one of the ducks quacks. This particular one just peeps...Does it quack yet? It looks like a young male that might be starting to molt into nuptial plumage and is like halfway there, lol.
