I was the donkey today.
No, there's no ice on the pond anymore, but in December the line-men cut a lot of trees under and around the power-line that runs over my property. I asked them to leave the wood there, with the intention of using it as fence posts, trellises, etc.
So, new chainsaw in my hand i walked towards the cliff at the road-side of my property and started cutting up the downed smaller trees into fence post size chunks. All went well with the sycamore tree-trunks. Then there was that red oak, off which i cut an 8 foot long piece and tried to pull it uphill…
Big mistake!
It was waaaayyy too heavy for me and instead of pulling it up it started to pull me down towards the cliff. And the glove on my right hand got stuck on a twig-stump so couldn't let go…

It wouldn't have been a death fall, but i would have ended up with some broken stuff in my body. So i just received plenty of scratches from the wild roses and the hawthorns, a twisted arm-muscle and some bruises on my knees.
