The weekend was fine, but this morning made up for it. Two Ducklings in the house decided to make a pond. They knocked over their water container that I had on a container to keep shavings out of it and I woke up to over 2 gallons of water on my hardwood floor. I thought about having duck nuggets for supper tonight but then knew it was my fault for putting it on something they could knock it off of. It worked well for 3 weeks though. The one has just gotten so big but the other one is still little and it will be in the 40's here at night this week a few nights so I can't move them out yet. Hubby had sneezed and woke me up at 3:30 am instead of my usual 3:45am which was good but I forgot to turn off my alarm. While I was cleaning the floor up he tried to shut it off in his sleep and it went somewhere under the bed still going off so I got to go on a hunt for that next to shut it off. I put the ducklings outside for part of the day in a safe enclosure and will move them out this weekend. I wouldn't dare separate them because they cry for each other when I do move them one at a time. I'm very lucky to still have a happy home right now and glad I have not been moved out into the duck pen, lol.
Wow! - Can't compete with that. Just the usual every day routine…
Sunrise: Pitta-Patta! - Pitta-Patta! - Pitta Patta!
QUACK! - Humon, get your featherless butt out of your nest and open the patio door for us!
Where's our breakfast?
Harry: Hurry up and open the duck-house door so i can chase these young duck morsels around and around!

Although, on second thought it sounds more like »STOMPSTOMPSTOMPSLIDESTOMPSTOMPSTOMPSLIDECRASHQUAX!«
In the morning. I too have hardwood floors and they're only good for wide turns with cheese-feet.

Yes, rough weekend. More rain and cold! :barnie

At least it's not snowing!!!
Be thankful for the rain!

The red is creeping up on us here! - Yes, we had some rain over the weekend, but the damage to the gardens is already done. Last year i had so many tomatoes that the ducks refused to eat them, this year almost nothing. Blanca Duck gave me a hot and sticky hug when i brought her two small yellow Pear tomatoes this afternoon...
Only the peppers are producing like crazy. The Serrano Peppers are breaking their branches, the Jalapeños are plentiful and there's already 10lbs of bell peppers in the freezer. But everything else suffers here, even our Tulip Tree is shedding leaves. - The one that grows in the drain-field, the other's are already bald.

lol i write kick your door but fixed it now
Yeah, sometimes i would love to pick up Mayhem Drake, throw him against the next wall, pick him up again after he slid down and throw him right back at the wall…
All the other drakes are relaxed and calm, yes here and there they play pool-noodle and cork-screw with a duck, but not like him!
He is chasing somebody the whole day!
At least this afternoon he got beaten up by Tweedledee and Laura Duck - he dared to grab one of their "baby" ducks by the neck. Pillow Fight Club!

i just want to share this because it’s so weird. i decided to take out the cage from the duck house that i was using for the 2 newest lings to integrate . i expected to hear a lot of quackery when they went in, but there was just this dead silence. and it stayed silent as it got darker ( i stayed outside to listen) and they are still quiet . it’s just so weird.
(Whispering) You took the cage out of the duck-house and let the ducklings loose on the grown up ducks? How dare!
You need to sneak up to the duck house and

QUAAAAAK!!! 🤣
