I find it amazing that ducks can fit through these small spaces to get to places you don’t want them to lay eggs. A legit fence was necessary to keep them out, otherwise they kept finding a way.

Two of the girls wanted to go broody. Do you know how hard it is to catch two of them out at the same time? Very. I had to resort to peas AND larvae and no feeding earlier in the day. Excited calls from the third girl got them out and I FINALLY got the area blocked off.

My Muscovy were the best in the world for finding just the smallest space to get into and me not be able to get to them. But eventually I got it all blocked off.

I'll get pictures of them later. They are adorable. For now they're in a rabbit cage in the duck yard for some See No Touch time. One of my own Call females lay herself right next to the cage. So sweet!

It's a really good thing I built an additional duck house...

Okay, no idea how for the last two years I never got any mule ducks but suddenly I have about 10 this year! Those drakes.......

It blows my mind that you can buy livestock from other countries. Including eggs

Suspecting the Mallard looking one is male (getting green feathers on the head) but unsure about the black bibbed.
