The "Woodies" don't fly away?
And they keep to themselves and don't mix with the other dux?

The "Woodies" don't fly away?
Deterring the BoPs or Coyotes?I'm just trying to figure out why there are two duck lures hanging on that fence post in the back!
Hawks or Vultures?View attachment 4042223
They’re all looking up and counting the hawks. I counted 20
... old pallets on cinderblocks…Yes . The most ever. I’ve counted 13, 14, even up to 17 some days. All flying around in big circles overhead. Whenever one swoops a little low, the geese start screaming. I live in a forested area. It’s actually a state park area. My birds have a 3000 square-foot pen with a 6 foot fence and somewhere around 50 different obstacles to hide under such as bushes, tables, chairs, playhouses, etc..
Maybe they are , I know we have them too. We have eagles, (some pretty huge) peregrine Hawks (small ), red tail hawks (aka chicken hawks) Cooper’s hawks (small ones) and turkey vultures , that I have seen I think there’s another kind or more out there, but I haven’t exactly identified them yetHawks or Vultures?
My flock looks like that when they're counting the Turkey Vultures circling in the sky.
When they see a hawk, the predator alarm goes of and everybody runs to the humon's house…
Their wings are clipped. However they can still get off the ground they *could* clear the fence if they wanted to. They could easily climb the fence as well. Or go up the tree. The "Woodies" don't fly away?

Good to have you back!I've had some technical issues and then with all the weather talk I hated to say I picked my lemons and oranges just in case.![]()
I am by far no expert for BoPs, but here these large circling birds are Turkey Vultures. I don't know what kind of hawk is currently lurking around, maybe a red-shoulder or a red-tail hawk. Today the crow friends attacked an s[he] fell out of the tree where s[he] was lurking. Feed the local murder of crows and get rid of the hawks, buzzards and (maybe?) the eagles. Just don't trust the crows when you've duxlings...Maybe they are , I know we have them too.
