Mine is Salix capriaYes, formally it's goat willow, salix caprea. But many species of willows form catkins and yours looks like possibly a weeping willow? (salix babylonica).

It has an unusual, beautiful shape. Salix caprea usually grows like hazel, so, a "bush"-like form, many trunks. Although even with hazel you do get some that grow on a single trunk like any other regular tree.Mine is Salix capria
I hope both of our batches hatch just fine. It will be fun having ducklings again. For a month, then most of them are going to new homes, we'll be keeping a drake and 3-4 ladies - that's the plan anyway.I think yours will be just fine. I have been incubating some eggs just for fun. The drakes I have are 3 Call Drakes and a Woody Drake. I have no idea who's the Momma duck since I have 20 hens. The eggs I am doing are not very big and sort of greenish so I was thinking maybe my Mallards but they are old now, 5, so maybe not. My humidity has been all over the place and some were not even fertile yet one yesterday when I checked was doing just fine. No telling how far it will go but the humidity with mine has not been stable since day one and is still going strong on day 13. Good luck with your Welshies, I hope they all make it. My Gold one is a beautiful duck and I just love her.

Here are some fully grown capreas. They used to be 1-foot sticks

Checked the eggs today. Good looking air sacs. Here's hoping for a full house - 16 ducklings. Day 18, lockdown coming closer.I hope both of our batches hatch just fine. I checked my one and it is still going strong. This is day 14 for it. I added the others later so I won't check them until this weekend. There's a good chance none will even be fertile but I was trying for it not to be a loner if it makes it. Good luck with yours.Checked the eggs today. Good looking air sacs. Wow, what a beauty!!! I have three of them and my one has the all black bill like yours but not the lighter ring around its neck. They are some of my friendliest ducks.
