I highly recommend them, granted I have only had them for about 2 weeks now but so far they are proving to be quite the sweeties! One of my gems; Jewel is the most calm in the bunch, Riya (another sapphire gem) is 2nd!

We have 10 2 week old sapphire gems right now. I am anxiously awaiting to see if they will all actually be girls or not. We have chicks that are light grey all the way to a more gunmetal grey. The only common thing they all share is considerable dark wash on their legs. So far none have barring on their wing tips. Some do have one white wing feather though. Will try and take better pictures and update about their sex.

Hey, fellow saphire fans, glad to be here! I started to SGs this year, lost one a week in, but my other hotel is going strong and I swear gets prettier every day. She's the most delicately built chick in this years brood....a dainty little lady.

Aww so sweet and beautiful! I have yet to see a picture of one this old so that's awesome! I have a light one that I feel will fill out like that, and a darker one. Does she have a name?
