So I picked up two lavender orpington today. I asked for hens and trusted that's what I was getting but... Can you help me out? I don't think they're ladies. I'm taking them back Monday if they're roosters. Thank you so much!!!!

While it is possible they are point of lay pullets, in my opinion they are younger cockerels, maybe 4 months old, at most. The combs and wattles look too big for pullets and those legs are quite thick on the one.

This is one of those cases where you'll need lots of opinions to get a consensus. If you can get clearer pictures of combs and plumage it could help.

Orpington's are slow maturing, thinking they're younger and the first one maybe a cockerel, judging by the feathering (saddle). Looking for saddle and hackle feathering, I had a pullet with huge combs/wattles that made me think she was a cockerel but she laid an egg. I've had Orpintons lay around 8 months

Thank you everyone. They look almost identical and I'm not sure why they have no tail feathers, I'm guessing they were picked on at the place I got them. Sure would help if they had them! I'm thinking Cockerel based on the ones saddle feathers and both of their neck feathers. And they're so tall. I guess I'll be driving the hour back over there and getting my money back so irritating. Sure are pretty though.
