Thank you everyone. They look almost identical and I'm not sure why they have no tail feathers, I'm guessing they were picked on at the place I got them. Sure would help if they had them! I'm thinking Cockerel based on the ones saddle feathers and both of their neck feathers. And they're so tall. I guess I'll be driving the hour back over there and getting my money back so irritating. Sure are pretty though.
I have no idea how someone could be so dishonest for no reason! I’m sure someone would want those beautiful birds wether they were roosters or not! I would be so ashamed of myself if I did that to someone.

One looks for sure like a rooster to me. The pointy hackles, one even has some pointy saddle feathers coming in. Were their tail feathers removed to try and hide the fact they are male, I wonder?
I also had that thought. And I trusted that he was giving me what I asked for so he picked them up and put them in the carrier without me really getting a look till I got home. I'm so irritated. They're beautiful, but I'm just not looking for roosters.

Right? They're gorgeous (or will be when their feathers grow back) but I didn't ask for roosters. He tried to pull that they're straight run, which he didn't say while I was there. But at $40 a bird at 5 months old... He should be able to tell. Once I got them home I sure could and I'm new to backyard chicken keeping :)

U know u should return them and if he says he won't take them back all u have to do is complain about the quality cause when I sell or buy I expect the birds to have there proper tail and I know for a fact that he's use a wee trick a crule wee trick
He's basically pulled the tail feathers out of the birds to make the rooster look like older pullets I've seen this done manys of time before and it's disgusting that someone could even try and tamper with a chicken and then to go and sell him as a her at 40$ :barnie:rant:mad:
