There was a little blood so I stopped

I don't think she started zipping. It looks to me like she is malpositioned and externally pipped away from the air cell, meaning it might take up to 48 hours from the external pip for her to be ready instead of the usual 24.

Blood also means she is not ready. It doesn't look like you've put anything on the membrane, which you will need to do to be able to see if she is finished absorbing and also to keep it from drying out. If you have coconut oil, apply that to the membrane and then post a picture. If you don't have coconut oil, neosporin or bacitracin will work.

But don't do anything at all now until you have coated the membrane so you can see if absorption has actually finished, which if you saw blood it hasn't.

If she was in the small end, she could not zip because there is not enough room for her to rotate.

This does make the weak

That just looks like a large pip, not zipping.
