We integrated 8 new chicks (we got them the end of March) to our flock of 11 with one rooster a couple months ago and have discovered that one is a rooster. That might be why the new 'herd' hasn't fully integrated. We got the 1st rooster to help with the pecking and it has worked but now with the new birds we weren't sure why he was keeping them away from 'his' hens and now we think that is the reason.
So the question is which one do I get rid of? I'm thinking that keeping the young one would make them all get along better but not sure so asking. My wife likes the older one because he's so good looking and he has a good crowing where we haven't heard the young'n yet
Thanks for your time!
