What age? What sex? Help needed!!

I hope I said roosters are a crap shoot, I almost always do say that. There is no proven way to always get a good rooster. People tend to think if I do this, he will be fine. That is not true. I agree with you, a lot of it is hereditary, but I think that there are roosters that do not take to confinement either, and if in a much larger flock, with a lot more space, much more than most backyards can accomplish, you can get by.

I always handle mine from day 1.

Out of my 21 roosters, only 3, are buttheads.

This is the one I was told was a rooster so I was expecting at least one out of the four I have. The others I was told were hens but not sure??

What exactly am I looking for? I thought the deep red was the sign. Can buffs have deep red and still be pulleys?

Orpingtons are known to be a friendly, docile breed. Very rarely you'd get a mean roo from them.
