You wote the article out great. But i do not 100% agree with the alot of it. I have raised 2 chicks and both have been extreamly social with me and the flock. And i have had some that were not. It believe it really just depends on the bird are how they feel. They are all different with different personalities.

I think that we get a bit technical with some things in the chick/chicken world. Every chicken/chick are different and bond different and take the world different. I have hatched about a billion different chicks and they all take things different. I have contact the first day. Event with the ones that I bought I made sure they knew on day one I was the one that fed them and loved them. Everyone will approach the chicks and chickens different...socializing them may differ from breed, gender and personalities. Sorry for any harshness... dont mean to come off that way.

This is a great build, but I would consider hardwire cloth to keep them a hit safer, with the run and with the ventalation. Thank you for sharing.

If they dont free range I think you should rethink the size of your run. Chickens love to free range, find bugs and love grass. They need more room to be adventures.
