This picture album shows a great coop - one that would be fun to replicate and really cool to have around ... but there are no instructions or descriptions to go with it. If you documented the buiild at all, it would be awesome to see those pics, as well, and to hear (read) how you made all of those Seussical angles work!

This coop and run has some really great details - like the corrugated metal baseboards and the hardware cloth floor - but some how-to text (or maybe some in-between step photos, if you have them) would be extremely helpful ... as in, Is the flooring attached under the baseboard? If so, how?
The stepped board leading up to the first roost level is a great idea for the "littles" or non-flight birds (like Silkies.) This is really a great use of reclaimed materials. Some how-tos and why-fors would bump his article way up in ratings!

This article is well thought out - tells everything from where they got detailed plans, how they worked out each phase, what they adjusted, what they would do differently, even where they got their chicks. Big Bonus - notes on how things are working out a year later and followup notes in the comment section. VERY well done!

Beautiful coop with lots of nice details and wonderful aesthetic appeal. The build details are rather lean. Some written instructions or descriptions would go a long way towards helping others replicate this wonderful coop. Love the video tour!

This is full of good ideas! While some more how-to instructions would be really helpful, the concepts can be adapted to other conversion projects. The boot feeders and the low poop doors are nice touches, but the best "touch" is the humor. LOVE the building inspectors and the "fine!"

Well done article. Great advice both up front and in closure. Good pictures showing details. I especially like the treatment on the door/ramp and the angled roof that eliminates the need for fancy angle cuts. VERY nicely done at every stage ... but I sure would like to see the "playhouse" that was sure to come afterwards ...

Very nice! It's not a super large coop, but with three levels of perches/shelving, there is ample space. The step by step description, while not very detailed, gives an overview of how the project progressed. A bit more text and a few how-to pics , perhaps of how the shutters attached would help, but overall, this is an effective article.

This coop is built a little differently than most of the others we see. Most start with support frame and a coop/house built directly into it, with wire added later to the run portion. This one starts with completed frame panels that not only serve as walls to the run, but also as the frame for the shelter. The pictures break the steps down nicely, so that an amateur (like myself) con easily replicate the process. Very nicely done! Thank You!

This has to be one of the most unique ideas I've ever seen for reusing an old wagon frame! It's a big coop and an even BIGGER construction undertaking, but you'll end up with one of the most unique coops made. Because of the scale, some written details and some close-up pictures of how bolting the structure to the frame was handled would be helpful. While the author is correct in stating that the long-distance trip shows that the coop was "built right," including some instructions on how he made it that way could inspire others to take on a major work like this one. It's a VERY cool coop!

This is a well-thought-out project. The description is more of an "intent" log, but the pictures follow through beautifully ... as did Mama Julia with her healing and new brood. "Well Done" to all of you!

This duck house was made from mostly free or recycled materials - and is an economical way to do a quick build. Some details on how the structure was predator-proofed and strengthened would definitely bump the rating up on this inexpensive build.

The coop, the run, the pictures and the written details all come together in this article. This coop is more than just a home for chickens. It's an investment in the value of the property, as well. Very well done, well thought out and well documented. Thank You!

This is a really great-looking coop. The title is a real eye-catcher, - Wet and Cold Weather - but the details are all in one photograph. The picture is wonderful ... but doesn't show anything about the "Wet and Cold Weather" adaptations. I would LOVE to see this article fleshed out! The coop has a unique look (LOVE the Northwest feel of the wood and brick) and it would be great to see more on how it was designed and built. ... Please?

This is a really good article! ! It starts out with cutting plans - a little faint, but a great bonus - and follows through with detailed, story-type (translated "easy-to-read!") instructions and clear pictures. To top it off, it's a beautiful piece of work that shows well in any back yard - even a fancy suburban neighborhood.

This is a well-thought-out article with a great deal of description. Details on how the salvaged materials were prepared and utilized are very helpful. The links to a basic building site and the inclusion of nest box plans are a nice bonus. The pictures are good, as well. The before-salvage and the final, painted coop pictures tell the story of a lot of hard work ... even without the great text.

This is a nice pictorial of a quick coop build. There's not much in the way of description and it was a plan-as-we-go project, so no plans, but the pictures give a good view of the finished product. Some dimensions and some basic "how we did it" text would help a lot, as would some follow-up on whether it was roomy enough for all eight chickens as they matured.

This appears to be the final entry in a series of single-step articles designed to show a complete build. None of the images are accessible and the text is vague.
As it stands as of this writing, this series of articles is a real disappointment, particularly the finale, which looks like it was supposed to show the final product. The coop is beautiful. The run is unique - almost a work of art - and beautiful, as well. Each of the steps is clear, with most containing good pictures. The text is good, as well, but the articles are really hard to use without the context of the other pieces. In order to get good instructions for the full build, or to complete a current phase, the reader has to search for all of the other pieces. Finding them all one step at a time, then putting them in proper sequence, is very tedious and confusing.

Please, please, please, put these pieces together and update the pictures. This is a great coop. The individual write-ups are clear and informative. The details and pictures are really very good. Together, they would be a top-notch article for a top-notch set-up. You put in a LOT of time into planning, designing and building this coop and aviary. It deserves to be seen and you deserve to be acknowledged

This is a single photograph with no text. It is part of a series of small articles documenting a complex, well documented build. Each step is very good but really hard to use without the context of the other pieces. In order to get good instructions for the full build, or to complete a current phase, the reader has to search for all of the other pieces. Finding them all one step at a time, then putting them in proper sequence, is very tedious and confusing. The details and pictures are good. Together, they would be excellent!
This particular piece is of an intriguing run attached to the finished coop. I would love to see some close-ups and instructions for the upright-to-gable joints and some directions on how the run is put together.

This is a single photograph and a few lines of instruction for a coop build. It continues through many more stages, each listed as a separate article.
This particular article has an expired picture, so it is only text. Good text, but only text and only a little piece of the total build.
