    Well yesterday at 530 i woke up to the chickens squaking went to see what was going on, and came around the corner and 10 feet from me their was a VERY large bear..... he ran off but in the process ripped through my fencing... so After fixing that, I went back to bed.... later around lunch time...

    Egg song practice; hasn't squatted yet.

    Most of my hens NEVER squat... to me or a rooster.... I suggest you keep them locked up for 3 days, where the only good place to lay is in the nesting box... you will soon find out if they are laying... also only half of my hens do the egg song... she may have *thought* she she saw a hawk lol =]

    hey sometimes my roos will get in fights and it looks just like that but it dried blood.... Try taking a warm rag and cleaning it off.... JUST an idea... I hope it isnt...
