    Silkie thread!

No, they stay in the coop and pen, but I let them out every night for awhile when I can watch them. The dog house is actually for our goats. He is really cute and finding his maleness, starting to flirt with the girls. The big girls are beating him down!

    Arizona Chickens

I am so glad it has rained the last week. We have lost 4 hens this year to the heat. This with a fan and frozen treats and double water. Short of bringing them in the house, I don't know how to make it better. So frustrating.

Question for all the silkie experts on this thread. We hatched out five silkie babies, they are different colors. A few are tricolor colored, but not sure what the difference in splash and painted are? I will try to get pictures today so you can educate me!

She is a tad better. Still gurggling, but more alert. We will see...she is isolatied, but it is hard to get her to far away because of my set up logistics. Well I would love to be organic, but having raised show dogs I tend toward the ultra proactive and head straight to the antibiotics. I...

It seems we are on a young male coyotes way home from his nightly party route and the chickens have now been spotted. The dobermans usually keep them away from the fence, but my male has Vally Fever and has been spending a lot of time sleeping. my Dob girl just can not keep the perimeter...

    Arizona Chickens

It does look like she has sores on the bottom of her feet, as well as having the living day lights pecked out of her before we got her...she is quarantined now. I soaked her feet tonight is Epsom salts and warm water and she fell asleep...lol. My husband asked what color she picked for her toe...
