That's fine!! I will move on somewhere else. There was a time when there was a lot of solid info from Good Breeders on here but now it seems to be a lot of ego strokin' Ewwws & Ahhhs! You all keep an eye on them Waddles!! LOL!!

Not too Harsh at all!! I am on this thread to try to learn from people who know something. Like Ross, Lynne, Kurt, Chet, but it seems some are gone forever and others from that list are rarely on here any more. I did Not come on here to talk about what feed store I got my chicks from or to see...

That is True! I bought a few bags there, but ended up finding a local Feed store that handles Purina and they are a couple of $ cheaper per bag and they don't charge sales tax. Not sure how they do that. For instance the Purina Layena Plus is $15.99 plus tax @ TSC and at my local feedstore it is...
I understand! I just thought it was peculiar that there was such a noted difference in the down color of his chicks. Time will tell!
I always chuckle when I here people talking about the beautiful purple sheen on their BA's! Like you said that is Not a desirable thing.

Stan? Kurt? Anyone? Have any comments about the fact that my TC boy is throwing chicks with much blacker down. Does it mean anything you think? or really means nothing? Opinions? Comments? or Guesses are welcome.

I don't know anything about a recall but the Purina Game Bird Starter has been great for me for the first few months of the chicks growing. It gives them a high protein feed for the tremendous growth they are trying to achieve those first several months, and also a source of animal protein which...
Stan, I set my Breeding pens up a couple of months ago. One with the TC Boy, and 2 with the 2 Gilbert boys I kept. I have never had either one of the 2 Gilbert boys show me any aggression, and I routinely just reach down and pet them. The TC Boy is a different story. I have to keep an eye on him...
Jim, It has been a long time since were on this thread until here lately. I hope things are going better for you than they were.
Stan you could be right! I have been known to be a little different!
Dan
That is the same thing I have been told Stan.
On another note, regarding your original BA lines. How much Rooster aggression did you see? Kurt if you read this what have you seen from your Tiger Creek Roos?

That is the last thing I do Every evening also! I had a couple that decided they were not going in to roost during one of our snow storms this winter. I convinced them it was the best idea. I figure it is my job to watch over them as best I can and not lose chickens because of their stupidity or...
