Yes! Thank you! The male is white and the female is brown. I’m curious to see how the mix colors turn out. I’m hoping to get some Toulouse gosling from a friend in the spring. :love

With pure white and brown you Chinese you can get Brown Chinese geese with white feathers among the brown feathers (usually a white stripe on the belly/breast or white amongst the flight feathers.

The other odd is White Chinese geese with patches of brown amongst the the white feathers, which are usually on the head but can occur anywhere on the body.

There is also the chance of getting a lavender which is mixed with mostly white but a few brown and black feathers here and there.

I never got a Lavender Chinese when I crossed with pure Chinese geese, I only got the lavender colour when I crossed my Chinese with the toulouse, Embden etc. (Goose breeds that trace back to the Greylag), but you never know! Anything is possible.

Looking forward to seeing your goslings.

So my goose stopped laying 3 days ago, she laid 5 eggs in total, the first egg is still in her nest and will stay there because I'm sure she'll lay again soon and 3 eggs are going into the incubator!

The first 2 eggs are most likely from the unwanted gander, the last 2 are definitely from the right gander so the 3rd egg we'll never know.

So 3 eggs are going in later after the incubator settles and in a month we will hopefully have goslings!

50% chance of having buff or brown of any sex, so fingers crossed for 2/3 buff goslings! I'll be too cheeky saying 3/3 buff goslings haha.

I'm jinxing myself now and they'll be all brown :')

Either way I'm excited

Let the incubation commence :)

My geese have started free ranging! I let them out last night about 30 minutes before dark they stayed around so i’ve let them out again today.

So yesterday we had an intense storm over here in Ireland, 50,000 people without power including towns around me. Thank goodness the powerlines in my place stayed up! My incubator is still doing good.

Bunch of trees fell in the field but they'll be perfect for firewood.

So I released the 2 young ganders back to the flock yesterday after the storm because my goose hasn't laid an egg in 5 days, but......she laid an egg this morning so the 2 poor ganders got locked up again this morning haha!

I chucked the egg in the bator so now I've got 4 eggs ! Hopefully she'll produced a couple more, 4/4 buffs ;)
