I already crochet blankets for Project Linus - I would be happy to put a BYC label on them!!!! This is a great idea, guys. I won't be starting any more projects until after school is out for the year, but I'll get going again soon. Before I start anything, though, I'm going to go home and hug my kids and thank God that the things we have gone through with them have been minor compared to what others have faced. Em, I'll send up a prayer for you and hope that it helps some.
I spoke with our Cardiologist today, and he feels this has to be corrected surgically.
We are scheduled for a heart catheterization next Wednesday. WEDNESDAY!!!!! OMG.
They have to check for veins called collaterals, that the body forms when there's a defect such as an undersized pulmonary arch. The body naturally tries to fix the problem, and grows these extra veins, but if they aren't coiled off before surgery, they can cause bleeding and other complications.
We'll be in for the heart cath, most likely just over night, then they want him to recover for a week and a half to two weeks, and we're going in for surgery.
I'm going to LOSE MY MIND!
I'll have a buttload of new chicks to worry about, too. Hopefully it'll warm up a good deal in the next few weeks, because the chicks that are hatching out today are going to have to go outside when he goes into the hospital.
We are worried to death and really want to be supportive so feel free to vent and please keep us updated as much as you feel like...love you...big hugs
And now by popular demand...Annie the knitting master! Okay quiet down...tanks for all the applause. LOL. I would be glad to make some premie hats. I had lots of experience making them for my Memphis. I like doing bigger hats and using crazy yarn so this project is right up my alley. Just got done knitting a chicken bra for Norma Jean's pullet with a stretched out crop.
