Desperately Trying to Hatch Ducklings

I saw little beaks peeking into the air pocket today! It’s crazy! Some seem like they’re a littttle further along than others but not by much at all. Lock down starts tomorrow! Raising humidity— do I drop temp at all or keep it as it has been? And once the duckling is hatched how long should the little babe stay in the incubator before I place him / her in their little home with a heat lamp, water and food?

AHHH GUYS! Today I stared lockdown and I went to add more humidity and one of the eggs has made a little pip!!! I was on my way out of the house to a family event and won’t be home until later! Is it normal for some to hatch earlier??? It’s only day 25!

I'm far from being a hatching expert, but I have found the 28-day thing to be more of a guide than a hard and fast rule. Many times, even under broodies, my 28-day eggs will internally pip on day 24 or 25 and hatch on day 26 or 27.

Not to mention how extremely SLOW they can be to hatch out.

You can see the one egg on the side where the air cell is has a little poke! It’s not open yet and another one did the same thing today. Just little pokes and LOTS of them moving around in the eggs! They look like littl see saws
