Mr. Bunny's Shadow

Mr. Bunny cut through the big run the other day. He picked up a shadow along the way. Guess who was watching him.

She watches everything.

For those that are worried, Mr. Bunny is fine. Phyllis did not take his ears.

That’s an evil-looking picture in the middle! Or maybe just dinosaur-esque.
I actually "heard" that creepy music in my head with the first two photos 😱🤣

Is this an egg-song or an escort-call?

That’s the quickest she’s stopped shouting for a while. She can go for five minutes!
I would assume escort call as well. It's sad no one answered her. Hattie and Lilly answer each other.

Patsy and Lilly used to call to each other when separated. When Patsy passed no one answered Lilly and she stopped calling when separated. Now Hattie answers and it has started up again occasionally.

Poor Alice is still losing feathers. :barnie

Her mop top hair do is turning into a punk spiked affair.

On the plus side, some of her back and side quills have burst at the end now. Perhaps she will have some decent coverage and look more like a chook and less like a pincushion by this time next week :fl

Beware. Alice progress pics below.

Eating at the breakfast bar with Ed this morning.

"Why do you keep chasing me around with a camera mum?"

Closer look at her back. If you zoom in you can see some of the ends of the quills have tufts on the ends!

My gosh that is scary. Poor baby. So close to being real feathers again.

I was a but concerned that they might dust bathe themselves right under the fence and into the neighbour's yard!
The flock has been using that fence line all spring. I don't know why. It is a good safe spot because of the butterfly bushes.

Stalking the Cheese

On Easter Mrs BY Bob brought out a platter of cheese and grapes for us to share under the magnolia. Hattie knew right away that there was good food available but she never said a word.

First she tried sneaking up on the side. Luckily i noticed her and I actually moved my coffee cup to block her access to the cheese.

Seeing that I had seen her, she then moved around to the back. Sad for her she could not reach anything from the back.

So she decided on the direct approach, came around the front, and stared at us until we shared. Which we gladly did. :love

She told no one else what was going on. It was our secret. ;)
