I plan to put this dozen in a carton and give to someone but not tell them about the eggs! I’d love to be there when they open it and find theses tiny things

Wow, it looked like you were fairly close to the buck and he didn’t seem phased by your presence.

10-20 feet when I started recording... then he did this....

I was in and out. He wasn't bothered. Then, while out watching them settle into rearrangements in the coop, he went back to where the video ended, then looped the coop to here

Some coop pics before the light went and they all finally settled

Flash went on this one, then off, then back on.

3 of the Littles settled where Nellie is. Hector was going bonkers. The "ramp" is gone and making the 2 foot jump to the bottom row of nest boxes was more than he wanted to attempt. He finally went up the ladder and put himself in the top row inserted. Twirp wasn't happy about him being next to her on the roost before he made the box and kept pecking at him.... she had to reach UP with a stretch to get him. Should be interesting watching the dynamics shift. No idea how much longer that will be, but at least the girls are teaching him to be a gentleman.

It seems other people have noticed the resemblance too.

I won a contest here on BYC years ago with a similar photo. Phillis by a photo of a frizzle breed I had. Pretty funny. During an egg hatch along. We used to do so many fun things with the New Years Day Hatch A Long. Good grief a lot of folks participated. It was a blast.
