Rosie's final class of the night was doubles. Mallory was already up behind her and they were literally just calmly walking him around waiting to be called into the ring. Russ tripped over a larger rock they did not see and he hit his knees and she flew over his head and tried to brace herself when she landed.
Oh isn't that just the way it goes? Doing something so easy... Poor Rosie 🤗🤗🤗

As long as she can be a chicken and do "chickeny" things my prayers will be answered. I do need her to be able to go to bed at night though. I won't always be around to move her upstairs. I hope she figures that out soon.
It took my Silkies forever to figure out roosting.

It wasn't until my cousin's. Hens arrived that they figured it out they wanted to join the big girls and hopped flew up with them! I was both impressed and worried they would hurt themselves.

Oh man. That's a freak accident. :hugs :hugs

It’s now 106f and quite hot 🥵 outside!
And all the feathered fam inside… anyway you can bring Chaco in as well? (I wasn’t really kidding when I made that comment about how I would deal with those temps!) My papa told me about when he was growing up in the late 1920s and somehow his brother ended up in “the pond” aka: Atlantic, off the coast of Newfoundland in winter and they needed to use the ponies to pull him in. I think it was an ice chunk or something he was on, slipped into the ocean but he managed to stay mostly on it. Anyhow, there was hypothermia all around, and they brought the horses into the kitchen to warm and dry them with the wood cookstove, it was a small two room house with lofts… and they were rubbing them down with their own blankets and everything smelled of wet workhorse for a very long time. I wish I had a recording of him telling the story… but technology wasn’t what it is today back when I was a little! 😂

It’s still Sunday here… I’m late to the party as always but was getting some work in while the weather cooperates. This is actually from yesterday heading to the Market, they weren’t very cooperative in moving aside for the little firefly, but Isla eventually shoved a bum over for the Dodge! 😂
