I just set up my little fan - I put a gallon milk container with water that I had in the freezer all day in front of the fan. The idea is it will blow in cold water across the ice.
I can immediately see how I could improve that set-up - so I might do it a bit differently tomorrow if I can do some prep during the day.
Tomorrow it is going to be even hotter, but then it breaks and will be more bearable next week (well so the forecast says).
Yes I thought of putting a frozen water jug in front of the fan like that might do that tomorrow if I can rig it up somehow…

You may be right. She was certainly having a very animated conversation with someone and all my lot were sensibly in the shade under the bushes or in the Chicken Palace.
The good thing about Lulu is she never stays in one place very long so soon she was running around in the shade with the others.
I have locked them in for the night and as soon as it is below 90 degrees outside I will set up a fan outside to blow cooler air in through the Chicken Palace (I think I have the same fan as @BY Bob and @micstrachan have). I haven't tried this before but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
Is it that cool Opolar misting fan?

I think mine is the non misting version. But same thing otherwise it charges via a USB port and you can clip it places. I git it ages ago based on your recommendation I believe!
I love it. I carry it with me when I am working outside.

I didn’t know that Jaffar knows how to play kick the can! He’s kicking a tuna can around (probably showing off to his ladies) :lau :love
I have never seen any rooster kicking a can like Jaffar did earlier. He was able to do a 3 ft. Distance. That’s good kicking talent. I’m impressed!

I have brought Bella into the house for a couple of hours. It is a trade off between the stress of being away from her buddies (none of whom had any interest in being caught) vs the stress from the heat. It is 96 and climbing. I put her in the mud room which is not the coolest place (77 degrees currently) but I didn't want her to have too wild a swing in temperature going in and out.
I think that was a good move.

I love those! I run the through the coop on hot nights. And on the low setting, they can run continuously for like two days!
