My girls also are early molting this year??

Is anyone else noticing this?
I've seen a lot of feathers, but haven't checked yet for molting. I have a fair few who should be molting anyway (Kren and crew, Hector and crew finishing up), and haven't seen enough adult sized feathers to be definitive. Silver and Pear were molting at this time last year. The rest: first adult molt TBD.

Oh no that’s sad poor wee fella, likely terrified!

Not sure why they don’t at least halter break these guys, it makes it so much easier to work with them if they are not stressed 😟

Is everything okk with you?
Zebras don't domesticated very well. They don't respond like horses or donkeys.

Orps are known broody hens, really determined broody hens
My Jubilee Orp has been broody 3 times so far this summer. Fortunately, she breaks easily. The first time was the longest, at 5 days. The second and third took 3 or 4 days. Even better: She gets back to laying in 4-5 days!

One of my 2 yo Black Australorps stopped laying mid-June. She has lost the upright "flag" part of her tail; only 2 feathers remain. It looks silly. She doesn't seem to have lost many feathers from the rest of her body. I hope this means she'll be back online and lay through the winter. I don't have any pullets this year to keep me in eggs.

Go to a dermatologist for a skin check and you will get lots of positive endorsement of your pasty white legs. Mine called my spherical white belly 'a thing of beauty'! Dermatologists do not like the sun!
Mine said "look how white your back is! But your arms need help in Summer, ok?"

She is only in her bucket for tube feeding. I posted that because I had posted one a while back where she looked pretty awful in the bucket. This one she is more alert.
Right now she is out in the shade under the butterfly bush. I have to be around because the Roadrunners can be merciless and also because the hawk convention seems to be having a reunion.
She just doesn’t move around much which is concerning.
Your nursing is outstanding RC.

True but they can be halter trained to make handling for hoof trims vet care etc less stressful. Otherwise it’s a big fight all the time, a couple of the big zoos here do this with their zebra and Przewalski horses.

I wonder if that sling contraption would work with her ??? Can’t recall if it worked for Bernadette or not, or if you used it …?

She certainly looks alert 💕

I have another throwing off a lot of feathers, I think it’s the grey Whiskers who just got over being broody. Feathers everywhere…

I never used a sling with Bernadette. I am not sure about Bella - I don't understand why her leg is weird. If it is the result of generalized weakness then I think she just needs feeding up and exercising.
For sure priority one is to get her eating, pooping and to keep her hydrated.
We are still in ICU not yet in rehab.
