Seems to me you COULD use little clips to hold the feathers back away from their eyes in the trimming process, just like a hairdresser does in sectioning hair.

Okay I am being a bit facetious but I am struggling to see what trimming was done :idunno As @bgmathteach pointed out, if you have to show where her eyes supposedly are it’s not much. It looks more like you’re pointing out her nares, frankly :lau ! Okay, teasing over. I can’t catch up here, so maybe later on you’ll have a photo from the side, revealing eyes?
We are going try again tonight. Wish me luck.

She has been very dehydrated. Her tongue has shriveled and has scabs on it. But I think it is now a bit better.
I'm glad to hear it is better. I would stick with whole corn if it will go down. I would not do cream corn if there is lots of mucus.

Yesterday when I was taking pictures of Chiquita and her chicks I noticed Twiggy watching me. I thought I would get a new picture of her since she was standing so pretty. Nope, point the camera in her direction and I got this. Thanks Twig.

She just thought it was Friday, is all! :love :love
I know this isn't politically correct, but nice bottom!!!

Chicken TV
First up we have CSI. This is a special Chicken Palace edition in which our intrepid crime scene investigators prove beyond doubt that Minnie is guilty in the brutal unprovoked attack on Bella.
Not only was there reliable eye witness testimony (from me), there was security cam footage, and most damning of all Minnie was found with incriminating DNA evidence in the form of one of Bella’s feathers stuck to her fluffy butt.

When questioned Minnie denied all knowledge, hid her face, and tried to dispose of the evidence.

Next we have HGTV’s much loved home makeover show Good Bones. In this episode the crew seek to create a cabana for Bella to keep her safe when she is with her friends.
The inspectors approved of the basic design ……

…. but ruled that more shade was required. So the crew had to scramble to set up a patio umbrella.

All the hard work was rewarded when Bella took a little sip of water on her own. The first in about 10 days.
Filming was interrupted when the producer burst into tears of happiness seeing Bella drink.
Friends visited and encouraged Bella to try the cherries.

I think the next show will be House, in which our team of crack diagnosticians will focus on Bella’s weird leg, but there has been too much TV for one day so that will have to wait.

I can try. My observation is she has issues with swallowing wet stuff (mash, egg) and dry stuff (pellets, chopped nuts, meal worms).
Her throat has some thick mucus and she has to cough up when she eats. My guess is it is sore and the defrosted corn is the perfect consistency for her to get down the hatch without too much pain.
One of my closest friends has Covid right now and she says all she can eat is ice-cream because of her sore and congested throat.
I feel Bella has a similar issue maybe.
Oh,Oh, Oh, that just gave me an idea. 💡

Can you partially freeze plain greek yogurt (so it is slushy, but not frozen solid?) Maybe that will go down the hatch better, and the cold will be soothing, as well??? And, will she do the same thing with frozen peas as with the corn?🤔 :idunno

Missed the video, too busy laughing. Cheetah decided Hector was watching the girls too closely. The chase route, 1-5 (1/2 ends going through the trees, 3 starts on other side, 4 loops back to other side, looping to the front)

Did catch this though...
