Oh no that's not good ☹️ please please please be careful ☹️.

I feel for you with the stalls, my place here is technically a swamp - this whole area is called the Thornton Swamp. The water table is so high that I can't dig fence post holes till Autumn as I dig down a foot and there is the water!

I had so many issues with the dirt floors in my barn that back in 2016 I flipped out got fed up with the flooded stalls, and put solid floors in. I first had to put in some gravel fill then I put in brick pavers (it was cheaper than cement, and I couldn't get a cement truck back there anyways it's too soft until to ground freezes).

I so sympathize with you such a miserable mess soaked stalls - just icky - how long does it take to dry out you stalls ?
I honestly have no clue. This is the first time it has ever done it. What I need to happen is 3 good days in a row of hot dry weather. I looked at the 7 day forecast, it is not happening this week.

Some of you may remember that we had to rehome Maryanne last year since her other two companions died. We're told that she is the lead hen there now. I don't don't how she managed to do that in such a short amount of time, but I'm sure happy she's not at the bottom of the order getting pecked to death.

Just got this picture of her with her mates. She is the rightmost one. 😁

Go Maryanne!

Chicken TV
First up we have CSI. This is a special Chicken Palace edition in which our intrepid crime scene investigators prove beyond doubt that Minnie is guilty in the brutal unprovoked attack on Bella.
Not only was there reliable eye witness testimony (from me), there was security cam footage, and most damning of all Minnie was found with incriminating DNA evidence in the form of one of Bella’s feathers stuck to her fluffy butt.

When questioned Minnie denied all knowledge, hid her face, and tried to dispose of the evidence.

Next we have HGTV’s much loved home makeover show Good Bones. In this episode the crew seek to create a cabana for Bella to keep her safe when she is with her friends.
The inspectors approved of the basic design ……

…. but ruled that more shade was required. So the crew had to scramble to set up a patio umbrella.

All the hard work was rewarded when Bella took a little sip of water on her own. The first in about 10 days.
Filming was interrupted when the producer burst into tears of happiness seeing Bella drink.
Friends visited and encouraged Bella to try the cherries.

I think the next show will be House, in which our team of crack diagnosticians will focus on Bella’s weird leg, but there has been too much TV for one day so that will have to wait.
Outstanding post! Very creative and full of happy news. 😊 :clap :clap :clap

Oh no! That’s terrible 😟 what a crazy year for crazy weather! It’s always feast or famine 😟

Ok well you be careful - heres a smile for you.

Wee Marty is back up in the window well, she must be leaping up there she can’t fly at all!

I logged onto the camera early to see how she got up there but she was already there! I have expected Sophia to peck her !

Missed the video, too busy laughing. Cheetah decided Hector was watching the girls too closely. The chase route, 1-5 (1/2 ends going through the trees, 3 starts on other side, 4 loops back to other side, looping to the front)View attachment 3206791

Did catch this though...

Gosh it is hard to be a youthful rooster. 😆
