Yep. I’m here safe. But wow the change of weather. I usually can fly VFR, but I had three separate cloud cover, at 3000, up to 5000, above that it was clear, but cold. And I got the rain that I wanted. I soaked poor Marie at 3000ft and several turbulence issues. (Family is nice to visit with, but they don’t have any chooks) . I hired Janelle from church, to watch the property and my feathered family. I’m hoping that there’s no parties while I’m away. Haha!

Gucci's few steps were slow and deliberate, but looked good!

They all seemed to enjoy 'grazing time! However, I noticed Glynda, a couple of times, thinking the grass was greener on the other side of the fence (pecking at/through the chicken wire @ ground level). She'll be a handful, that one, in a too smart for your britches/get you into chicken trouble sort of way!

Yes Glynda is smart and curious and will challenge me. I can't wait!

Here is the result of tonight's trim.

The right eye is really good and she can see out the left now. That small clump of feathers is so close to her eye that I have a lot of trouble trimming it without poking her eye.

She actually has a pretty good look now. Very similar to Phyllis at this point.

Thanks for the pictures of Gucci. That helps my blood pressure, and challenges my sanity! Ahhh the Gucci! And the Betty, and Phyllis, and all the other ladies.

Oh my goodness, she really DOES have eyes!

Seriously, though..good job. No fun working that close to the eyes.

I'm sure she will much appreciate being able to see what is going on around her now. Hoping she actually roosts tonight now that she can see

I did the trimming again. Very aggressive.
