Bob, it’s not just a peck bite either, he’ll grab loose skin and hold on till he draws blood!
Oh he asserting his authority, he is the boss of his girls and he wants you to know that.

It doesn’t mean that he doesn’t look to you for security and as part of the flock, but it is his way of tellin you he doesn’t want you to mess with him and his girls at that time.

This is normal they can’t talk like us humans they have their own methods of communication. Just like the horses will put their ears back and walk away from you when they don’t want to do something. Well it was my experience with my Roos that the biting was a defence mechanism and a way to communicate.

You’re still his flock mate, as such we need to learn their language - and this is something that you are good at! Just remember they aren’t human they have their own culture and language ❤️
