Preaching to the choir they are soooo horrible here! The rains keep them going, and I keep worrying about West Nile.

Has anyone ever heard of any chickens getting it?

Those are NOT lavender Orpingtons.

This is a Lavender Orpington.

They look just like a Buff Orpington just lavender colored.

I would put it differently: Buff Orpingtons look like Hattie only beige.

I gave him my fried rice from the other day. He ate a little, then I took him out to the ladies. He eats, but not as much as I think he should. But every morning, he’s alive and crowing.

My chickens get bit by those nasties at night. And I can tell by the spots on their combs.

Those aren't Lavender Orpingtons. @BY Bob 's Hattie is a lavender Orpington. Those look like lavender Ameraucana/EE

I agree! They do. As they grow and feather out that is exactly what they look like!
I thought I was a little senile for a minute.
I don’t really mind, because I love them and I think they are beautiful, and they are fun birds, great personality, so it was kind of fortuitous, BUT they were 25 dollars a chick because they were “lavender orpingtons”.
I think I got fleeced!

Sadly you did. Love them for who they are despite what you ordered.
