I'm wondering about starting my own thread - I am such a newbie, I think I may need lots of help and reassurance.

It took me years to do it but it's fun. I have also used it several times to answer questions like when did that happen? It's a great diary.

I have also met an amazing group of wonderful people. That means ALL of you!

If you do start your own thread don't forget to post a link so we can all follow along, though I really don't think anyone minds having their threads hijacked to discuss others flocks, concerns & lives. That's how the internet forms community ~ especially on such a large site like BYC.

Thanks Ribh. I am currently working my way through your thread; I'm on page 126 of 321...

Thanks Bob - everyone seems so lovely on here. How is little Eve doing?

BTW - my flock is ready at the farm for us to collect on Saturday!!!! Sooooooo excited!!!!

What fun! How many are you getting @Ali James ?
Can we get pictures of the coop before occupation?

Hattie is enjoying all the love. Here she is roosted under our table on the deck. Watching us through the glass top. It's hard to eat when she is looking up at you through the table.

I expect it's as distracting as a Golden Retriever with its head in your lap drooling while you try and eat :drool

Oh do! It can be your chicken diary as you embark on chicken husbandry for the first time!

Eve Update

Eve's chest tube is coming out as I write this. She is doing very well. Her mom was able to hold her and feed her yesterday. We are blessed as she is on the road to recovery.

What a sweetheart! Just look at her! You wouldn't even know that she had open heart surgery just a few days ago.

:hugsSo happy for you and your family Bob! Heart surgery is scary, especially for such a tiny sweet baby. So Glad that Eve is doing well. I’m sure your daughter really appreciates all your support through this. I do need to write down all the threads I need to check on daily on my whiteboard so I don’t miss anyone. I was all chickens, cute chickens, whoa! Chest tube what??? And had to go back to find out I stopped getting notifications and checking in right before you let us know about Eve. All our prayers, love, and support for little Eve and your family, and thank you for sharing with us :hugs
