Oh Marie, I am so, so sorry. I did not realize she was unwell.
:hugs :hugs
She was fine yesterday but it started this morning. She laid an egg with a tiny bit of shell. It was in the run and happened while she was on the perch.

It's seems to me like the wormer takes all the calcium away. Needless to say I've stopped using this food.

Tina is now going to leave. Im sure that the wormer food has done this. I've given her coconut oil in case of sour crop but she's not eating. This is the second battery hen effected by the wormer
Plus I found another cigarette butt in the yard.

:flI hope she pulls through! Do you have any nutridrench or baby food - liquid, easy to take, and nutritionally dense - to help her?:fl

Didn't you just worm them recently - do they need to be wormed again, and if so, maybe the worms are resistant to the active ingredient - or maybe the wrong type of wormer for the worms that they have?

I have poultry tonic verm-x porridge or mash which she refused wet and dry

I will offer apples and banana

I'm just putting out corn on the cob to see if this will tempt her. I'm afraid I only have food in my home now I've run out of options

No I didn't in the end I wish I hadn't now

It affected her crop. So anything that goes in will not go through the same as Agatha

A selfish rant coming up: here’s my thoughts. For what it’s worth, I do my best to help people out who are in trouble. Sometimes it’s a very thankless job. Sometimes it’s very rewarding. But losing your only pet, and then realize that you are all alone, is heartbreaking 💔. Last night burying my neighbors dog, hurt me too. I’m just wondering, if In the future, I may need some help, to have someone to care for me. Or am I to die lonely and afraid in the dark?
Rant over, tax payments come later.

Poor princess is all alone. I hope she doesn't feel lonely

She's cool in the shade but it's really hot here

I'm very sorry. Tina does look very unwell, I'm afraid you are right. I would just make her confortable and stay with her 💚😟.
For what it's worth, I don't think the wormer food can have such an effect so soon, she probably has some other health issue- and you know ex-batts don't live long.

It will be very sad for princess if she stays alone (and for you!). Hopefully if your housing situation gets solved, you may have another chicken to keep her company ?
I will still hope for a happy issue and keep you in my thoughts.

She's happier in the coop nesting box. I heard the horrible gurgling sound just like the other one. I wish I could find a companion for Princess but my life is yet again in the air and I'm battling with my health continually.

There's a guy I know that's kept his one chicken for ten years, she's still going and content

Would anyone know if this actually works?

It's a squishy crop at the moment but I know it will get harder if it's like Agatha

The timing is crucial I hope anyone can answer.
