I am resting here in the house but can hear Mr Pompei crowing up a storm. Need to eat something and then head out to check them.

They are so cuteThey are adorable!
Chicks grow up so fast!
Nice to see you back, Kat!! You are right, these did grow up quick - last I remember seeing them, they were way smaller!!! They are lovely now, though, despite not being orps. They aren't as laid back as orpingtons, but I do like them - I hope you grow to love them as much as your orps, even though it will be a different relationship. I have found mine to be very smart! (D@*# Houdinis!Thought I’d share some pics of my “Lavender Orpingtons” (what I paid $$$ for), who grew up to be Easter Eggers!!!
Well, they ARE lavender, at least. These pics don’t do justice to the color.
They have charcoal-black legs, blue-grey feathers (solid color), muffs and beards.
I never wanted Easter Eggers, but they are here now, and they are very pretty birds. A little shy though. They get on very well with the rest of the flock too.View attachment 3238749View attachment 3238751View attachment 3238753View attachment 3238754View attachment 3238755View attachment 3238756
