Oh, I’m sorry. How sad! I’m glad her daughter is doing well! She passed away last summer on a super hot day setting on a nest. Fortunately we have her daughter and she is a lot like her. Poofy jr is our best mama hen.

That is Lady Featherington. She is a young Jubilee Orpington.Yes they certainly can! I used to own several pet snakes, luckily I never got sick from a snake bite, I consider myself lucky. You are certainly correct that even non venomous snakes can carry bacteria. And they can make people sick! For now, I'm fine. And so is my Leghorn! Her wound on her leg is healing nicely. And so are mine. Your hen is gorgeous! What breed is she? I've never seen one like that.
Those are so beautiful. Great work!No thirsty day pics today. Been working on craft projects. Both of my sisters are expecting child number 2. Gift for 1 already with them. For second, finished this yesterday.View attachment 3289742
Her DH's family also does lots of handicrafts, so she's overloaded with blankets. A softee seems about right.
Only nephew on my DH's side has baby arriving soon, so finished this for themView attachment 3289743Yes, that's a sea turtle. Her favorite colors are turquoise to aqua, so the waves fit. Debating about making a sea horse for it too.
Nosy beaks have been curious too.View attachment 3289744
Awww, Daisy TGHE!!!Wow! That is a very unfortunate coincidence.
In memory of all the Daisy's we have lost. I give you The Greatest Hen Ever.View attachment 3289858View attachment 3289859View attachment 3289860View attachment 3289862

Nice work!Kicked into Action
Gucci's death gave me a push I needed to rectify an oversight on my part. Three ladies have passed on without ever having their bum silhouettes put up on the house. Sunday, in Gucci's memory, I put up the bum silhouettes for the three surviving ladies and rehabbed Phyllis' messed up one. I still need to rehab Sydney’s and Aurora's.
