It's hard for all of us at times. Chickening is not for the faint of heart. My heart is right there with you and @RoyalChick right now, it's all so heartbreaking. I've cried ever so much over flexi and Agatha
It's nice to hear from you. Busy is good. We are always here when you have time.Sorry im never here. (Im not on BYC all that much anymore either.) Its because i have a bunch going on. The major stuff (not all) being 5 days of the week, waking up at 6:00, then 7:30 to around 2:00 im at cows (I volunteer and show them) Then i have chickens, prepping the winter coop. Dance 3 days out of the week, etc.
Anyway, i just wanted to pop in and see how everyone is doing.
If you’re dropping balloons, please attach small parachutes and fill them with things from tractor supply which I can’t get in this backwards country… oh and some herbicides for @Ponypoor… I can meet her in Hope when she gets a better job. But I’m NOT going north… Nope, nope, nope!Probably. I practice “how low can you go!” Was it a white Cessna with blue trim, sporting water balloons?
Her story needs to be told. It's the least I can do for her.If it’s too sad don’t feel like you need to do anything that will make you feel worse. We all understand, I understand, I am just honoured to have been part of her and your life during her short time with you![]()
He is handsome for sure!Oh- and now the chooks have a new rooster.

You did a great thing for Tina! Kudos to you.On a lighter note
This coming month Tina has been free from the battery cage for 14 months.
It's lovely knowing she's had a nice life here..
Princess is back too claiming her food again, so Tina must be feeling better.
I thought Princess was ill because she was giving Tina most of her food but she was looking after her. Plus she has given Tina her place in the coop and guards her every night. She has become mama princess

That's sad. I'm sorry that happened.Various causes- some much more sad than others. The worst one was when it spiked to 115 after a few cool days, and they cooked in the box before they were let out.
The dog got better from Parvo, so that is good news- she looked like she wasn't going to make it.
He's a beautiful fellow. As of today Twiggy has officially hit the "Idiot" stage. Hormones have hit, he thinks he's hot stuff and any hen had better watch her back. Holly has taken great pleasure in stalking and thrashing him after he tried to jump her. A growl from either Bubba or Branch stops him in his tracks thankfully and they have not had to whip him yet. He keeps it up and he will get one though. Here are a few pictures of him this evening. Look at him, they way he's holding himself. In his little pea-brain he's all that.
