I love the speckles!

Seeing as how little effort she put into the egg I am surprised she added the speckling. Then again, if it was not for her breeding I'm sure she would have liked to give me a solid white egg.

It's All Over but the Cleanup

I took off the bottom board and glued it this morning. Everything is all set for now.

My paint job by lantern was not as good as I had hoped. Another coat of paint is in order for certain.

Karen truly takes after her namesake. Threats of KFC had to be made and a formal complaint filed with her manager Bubba. It worked though, this lovely lady is a freeloader no more.

Karen is a Karen though, and she ended up with the last laugh. Yes she laid a egg, but she put minimal effort into it. Here is is next to Chiquita's egg. I broke out the scale and started weighing my eggs. Chiquita's weighs 1.4 ounces, Karen's egg....1.3. I will give her a little bit of time but I may have to go back to her manager to file another complaint.

My barnyard mutts lay small eggs no bigger than my silkie eggs - but maybe my silkies lay big eggs! I must weight them… BRB…

EDIT: Fluffy started back laying today with a 1.8oz egg! Big egg for little chicken!

I obviously didn't follow instructions closely enough!
Rest assured however, that if I every figure out how to do that intentionally I will use that power to create maximum havoc. Like all those folk who changed their Twitter handle to Elon Musk over the last 48 hours.
