My brother decided to give me one of my Christmas presents early today. He figured I would freeze overnight in the hospital and miss my chickens. He knows me so well. What he does not know is my flock, he said here, this has your rooster on it. Um.....nope do not have polish, I have silkies with a crazy hair-do. He chuckled and said give it a matter of time and I would fix that situation. As for the sign, do I hang it on the coop or on my bedroom door.

OMG I love those I needs them! :love:wee💕

My FORD SYNC isn’t working and that means no radio, no clock, no GPS, no hands free phone… so I just drove 200km singing White Christmas, Jingle Bells, I wanna Hippo for Christmas…. And about 50 other songs, hahaha some words I remember, others I made up words hahahahaha 🤭
If anyone is equipped to entertain themselves it's you. I'm sorry that happened to you but glad you made it OK.

Hang it on your hospital bed for starters!

Heritage BR and Production BR.

Heritage BR is larger, fluffier feathers, longer head, smaller comb 'cleaner' barring....AND more likely to go broody.

I've had lots of Production BRs, only every had one go broody. Nearly half of my heritage BRs have at least tried to brood. I know this isn't the case with others...but maybe it has to do with the hatchery line regarding broodiness?? Most hatcheries tried to breed that out of them.......
Sydney, my fake BR, went broody before she was 1. And not since. 🤷‍♂️

Thank you for your kind words everyone. After I posted I decided to take a nap, I crashed. Woke up to find Russ out. Really knot-head, get back in your stall Houdini. I do not know how long he was out, but as always he let me walk up and put the halter and lead rope on. Turn around to lead him back in and we take about 2 steps when down he goes to roll. 5 minutes of a good roll and he is back in and tied up. I in a way do not mind the horror stories, they can go in one ear and out the other. What I do not appreciate is everyone grilling me on why I have to have one and why so young. I have not seen you in years keep your opinions that I am making a mistake to yourselves please. I also really really do not like grandma announcing to the world that I have to have it. I've even told her as much but she conveniently forgets that. She called a friend the other day to check on them and it started out how are you doing. Oh you broke your hip sorry to hear that, you know becky is having surgery. I just threw my hands up and walked away. Oh well, I still have a lot to do this evening chicken wise. I know deep down Rosie and everyone can take care of them, but they are my babies and I will worry more about them then anything. I have to be at the hospital at 8 in the morning. I'm taking my laptop but I probably will not be on tomorrow.
We are praying for you. :hugs
