Interesting. And thank you for enquiring for me.
I must say it makes no sense to me because the whole purpose of a GFI circuit is to interrupt the power when there is a short. And the whole point of an electric fence is to create a short through an intruding animal.
Weird.
If I ever have to buy a new one I will explore this more thoroughly, but for now I just got a new battery and that seems to have charged up. I still need to reattach it to the fence and clear the fence of debris and check the fence and (I am exhausted just thinking about it!).
Well I know what you mean but I look at it as it's not really much of a short, it sends the pulse out and it doesn't come back, but it doesn't endure? It does keep zapping if you hold on to it. I will have to ask this of another rep when I'm on for another subject...

Laugh emoji because it is a tiring chore! But for me also the solar charger wasn't working well in the Fall even with the battery new, because I have too much shade then. I kept moving it into better spots as the sun moved along. Checking the fence charge all the time. Then hauling in the battery for charging, especially in rainy spells.... PLUS maintaining the fence. It is exhausting!

Checking and maintaining the fence is okay if I have the general energy, because the chickens are such great company and with me out there I can let them out to explore and dig in the area between the aerial netting and the fence. Plus I take frequent chicken breaks.
Hazel. Her upper beak really overhangs the lower.

Of course it has to be Eve ❤️ :love❤️:love Who else's little hand would it be??

You are such a great Grandpa!
She had a lot of fun today feeding Sydney blueberries. No one beats Sydney to a blueberry. She was taking them right out of Eve's hand.

Crazy weather today. Rain and wind gusts. My temporary wind blocks blew down inside the coop (scared the chooks)
I’m going to have to build something more permanent than cardboard I guess. :(
Crazy weather - be careful of debris blowing around.

Wonder if OSB 1/4" would be adequate if it's inside and don't have to worry about it getting wet that is likely the least expensive (at least here).

Poor Chooks, miserable weather for them. Mine have been under the Sweet Heater today - I see Buttercup hogging the best spot!

I really should move that camera so that its more level... when I get home.
